It has been the most terrible week for the Indian Cinema and theatre fraternity. Two magnificent actors passed away within 24 hours. People were just coming to terms with Irrfan Khan’s demise when they learned about Rishi Kapoor death at the age of 67 today morning. Both of them were battling cancer.
Meanwhile, a picture of Irrfan and Rishi from D-Day is going viral on social media. Many fans featured on how the two legendary actors of the Hindi film industry had said goodbye to the world so close. In the movie, directed by Nikkhil Advani, Rishi Kapoor plays a character of gangster based in Pakistan and Irrfan plays the role of an undercover intelligence officer Wali Khan who successfully arrests him and brings him to India.

The viral photo shows Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor sitting in the backseat of a car, where the former was essaying the role of undercover RAW agent Wali Khan while the latter played Iqbal Seth aka Goldman.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died on Thursday morning in Mumbai at the age of 67, after a two-year-long battle with cancer. A day before, actor Irrfan Khan passed away after colon infection following his two-year-long battle with neuroendocrine tumor.

Rishi Kapoor received the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his debut role in his father Raj Kapoor's 1970 film Mera Naam Joker. The actor made a huge splash in 1973 with his first lead role in Bobby - the teen romance which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

For his performance in Do Dooni Chaar (2010), he won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor, and for his role in Kapoor & Sons (2016), he won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He was honored with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.

The actor played leading roles as the romantic lead in 92 films between 1973 and 2000. Some of his notable films during this period were Khel Khel Mein (1975), Kabhi Kabhie (1976), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Karz (1980), and Chandni (1989).

The actor garnered praise for his films like Heena, Mulk, Deewana, Housefull, Student of The Year, Amar Akbar Anthony, Nagina, Laila Majnu, etc. His final film appearance was in The Body (2019).
