PM Modi Launches 10,000 Farmers Producer Organisations to Double Farmers Income
PM Modi made an announcement at an event organized to mark the first anniversary of the launch of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath & Governor Anandiben Patel also participated in the program.
PM Narendra Modi has recently started the campaign which involves the establishment of 10,000 new agricultural producer organizations (FPOs) over the next 5 years. PM Modi addressed an event organized to mark the first anniversary of the launch of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath & Governor Anandiben Patel also participated in the program.
In the event Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a new FPO will be established with the goal of increasing & empowering farmers' income. This will help farmers in the production and marketing of crops along with their marketing.
Kisan-Credit Card (KCC):
Prime Minister announced that Rs 5,000 crore could be spent on this in the next 5 years. He also gave Kisan-Credit Card (KCC) to 10 beneficiaries of PM Kisan. Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister informed reporters that KCC was distributed to farmers in 28,000 branches of banks across the country on Saturday as part of a special campaign to provide KCC facility to all beneficiaries of PM-Kisan.
PM Kisan Scheme in Gorakhpur (UP):
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana was started by PM Modi in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on 24 February last year. Under which, the central government has so far sent Rs 50,850 crore to the farmers bank accounts. It has also transferred a total amount of Rs 6,000 in three equal installments to the bank account of the beneficiary farmers, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
