Javed Akhtar called Kangana at his home then threatened her and Mahesh Bhatt threw slipper at Kangana as she refused to play a role of Suicide Bomber.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli has lashed out Javed Akhtar and Mahesh Bhatt on Twitter.
Rangoli tweeted that Javed Akhtar called Kangana at his home then he intimidated and threatened her to apologize to Hrithik Roshan.
Rangoli further made the allegations on Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt that once he threw slipper at Kangana as she refused to play a role of Suicide Bomber.
As per the sources, Javed Akhtar and Mahesh Bhatt asked about the Modi government and how they feel about soaring Islamophobia in India during an interview with Al Jazeera.
Where Akhtar replied, "I mean, fascists don’t have horns on their heads. Fascist is thinking and this thinking that we are better than others and whatever problems we have, it is because of these people. The moment you hate people in wholesale, you’re a fascist.”
According to sources, Mahesh Bhatt said, “Well, I think Islamophobia – the winds of Islamophobia – blew through the world after 9/11. I think the phobia here is manufactured because I don’t think that the average Indian is so frightened of a Muslim.”
In a response to both she tweeted " Javed Akhtar ji called Kangana home and intimidated her threatened her to say sorry to Hrithik, Mahesh Bhatt threw chappal on her cos she refused to play a suicide bomber, they call PM Facist, chacha ji aap dono kya ho?".
Last year, Javed Akhtar and his wife Shabana Azmi cancelled their trip to Karachi, Pakistan after the Pulwama attack in the consent with Indian martyred soldiers.
The Karachi Art Council had invited the couple to celebrate a two day literature conference of the writings of Kaifi Azami. Shabana Azmi is the daughter of litterateur Kaifi Azmi.
Kangana went on twitter and wrote "People like Shabana Azmi calling for halt on cultural exchange - they are the ones who promote Bharat Tere Tukde Honge gangs... why did they organise an event in Karachi in the first place when Pakistani artistes have been banned after Uri attacks? And now they are trying to save face?”.
Then Shabana replied " You really think at a time like this a personal attack on me can be of any significance when the entire country stands as one in our grief and in condemning this dastardly Pulwama attack? May God bless her.”
