Breaking News! Rishi Kapoor Passes Away at 67; I Am Destroyed, says Big B
Actor Rishi Kapoor died after a two-year-long battle with cancer. The actor returned to India last September after undergoing cancer treatment in US for almost a year.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is no more with us. The actor passed away on Thursday at Mumbai's Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital at the age of 67. His brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the shocking news. Rishi Kapoor was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning after his health deteriorated.
A day before, his elder brother Randhir Kapoor had said the actor was taken to H.N. Reliance Hospital in Mumbai after some breathing difficulties. "He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problems, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now."
Big B Amitabh Bacchan confirmed the news on Twitter. He wrote “He’s GONE ..! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”
Various personalities of different fields paid their tribute to the legendary actor on Twitter.
Actor Akshay Kumar, his co-actor in 'Patiala House', paid tribute on Twitter. He wrote" It seems like we’re in the midst of a nightmare...just heard the depressing news of #RishiKapoor Ji passing away, it’s heartbreaking. He was a legend, a great co-star, and a good friend of the family. My thoughts and prayers with his family."
Superstar Rajnikanth wrote "Heartbroken ... Rest In Peace ... my dearest friend #RishiKapoor"
Bollywood Actress Hema Malini condoles his death, and wrote "Unbelievable that such a warm human being-Rishi Kapoor is no more! Recall all my movies with him Ek Chadar Maili si, Naseeb, etc &under my direction, Tell me oh Khuda. Such a lively interaction with him always! My heart goes out to dear Neetu, Ranbir & all his family. God be with them."

Vishal Dadlani, Tamannaah Bhatia, John Abraham, Vir Das, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, and many others also poured in their condolences for the family on social media.
Rishi Kapoor started his acting career from super hit film Bobby, opposite Dimple Kapadia in 1973. His last film was 'The Body'.
The actor recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film The Intern, also featuring Deepika Padukone.
