ALERT: No PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Instalment for 8.9 Million Farmers; Do This To Get Money Back
The farmers will not get their fourth instalment of Rs 2,000 each under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi minimum income support scheme. if they donot have Aadhaar card or bank account numbers or if IFSC codes are wrongly mentioned in the records.
The letter by the state government said that about 8.9 million farmers will not get their next instalment of Rs 2,000 each. This money was given under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi minimum income support scheme. The farmers who will not make efforts immediately to correct their Aadhaar database and bank records will not get their next installment.
On 4th February, UP’s Chief Secretary, Rajendra Kumar Tiwari sent a letter which asked for a campaign to be launched on a war footing till 22nd February to correct records of all the farmers.
Uttar Pradesh with 25 million beneficiary farmers has the highest number of beneficiary under this scheme among all other states. So far records of 22.8 million farmers have been uploaded on the central portal. However, only 7.73 million farmers have got the fourth instalment under the scheme, which had become due in December 2019.
Rajendra Kumar Tiwari said, "Record of 1.27 crore farmers of UP was not found correct during Aadhaar authentication. The record of 71 lakh farmers has since been corrected. But there are 29 lakh farmers whose name on Aadhaar card does not match their name in the central database, 27 lakh farmers whose Aadhaar number is wrong on the portal."
The letter also said, “Aadhaar cards have been made compulsory for farmers to acquire their fourth instalment. But, data of another 2.5 million farmers has been declined by the Public Financial Management System as their bank account numbers and IFSC codes have been wrongly mentioned.
Meanwhile districts in the state have stopped payment of PM Kisan Nidhi instalment to 800,000 more farmers due to difference in the names of the farmers as per their bank accounts and the central portal.
