It won’t be wrong to call 2019 as the year of Ayushmann Khurrana. The actor had 3 releases and all of them dominated the box office. Even Ranveer Singh credited Khurrana for creating an “Ayushmann genre” in the Bollywood.
While the actor seamlessly got into the role of a police officer fighting against the caste system plaguing our society in Article 15, he astonished everyone as Pooja in Dreamgirl. Khurrana said, “It has been an eye-opening year for me. The year has bolstered my faith that I should only back content that is very fresh, disruptive, unique & experimental as the audience expects that from me. It is humbling to get the kind of love & adulation from the viewers as well as from critics.”
He added, “I strive to find films that I feel will entertain and be appreciated while delivering a message through its story. For me, this has been my biggest year & I have many learnings from how things have panned out for me.
